Clogged Drains
One common plumbing problem is a clogged drain. This is usually caused by the accumulation of waste products that eventually slows down the flow of fluids from the sink. Such waste products could be debris from the buildup of grease or food. Usually, the drain has some protective part for this kind of problem. It usually prevents clogging but if it is used with tremendous and long- term accumulation of debris, you should have your plumbing system checked already.
Some stuffs that could cause clogging in your bathroom drain are accumulated hair strands and soap chips. You could avoid this by placing a hair trap on the drain and regularly check it for build ups. Most plumbers like the Provo Plumber prefer if you check and try first hand methods first before consulting a professional plumbing service. One common step is to use a plunger. If the drain is still clogged then use a chemical drain cleaner but keep in mind that you must not use a plunger after pouring chemicals into the drain. This may cause splashing of some chemicals and may cause some serious problems. Do not attempt to mix solutions or chemicals if you are not very familiar with it, it may react rapidly and may cause some damage. Be careful not to inhale the chemicals while pouring down the drain. By doing these simple steps, the debris will eventually dissolve leaving your drain clog-free. If this does not happen, try calling for a professional plumbing service to assist you.
Defective Toilet Flush
Usually the first thing you’ll notice is that the flush handle may have loose connection. This may be felt if upon flushing you did not feel a slight resistance or pressure. You may open the top tank and reinstall this for a quick fix. If you still have problems, try checking for some objects obstructing from the tank. Upon opening, assess if the other parts are still in good condition or may need some replacement already. Again if this does not fix your problem, consult with a plumbing service to save you from a more serious damage.
